Cape 360 and Campus Volunteer Foundation Paint a Community School

Campus Volunteer Foundation of the University of Cape Coast has discharged its volunteerism in painting of Mpeaseduadze Bentsigua Community KG in the Abora Asebu Kwaman Kese District of the central region.

The gesture was a partnership between Cape 360 and central regional representative of TV3’s Ghana’s Most Beautiful season viii, BB and was also supported by Campus Volunteer Foundation UCC.

It was part of measures to retain the region as the citadel of Ghana’s education.

Mpeaseduadze Bentsigua is one of the deprived communities in the central region and patronage of education in the community is low.

The impact of teaching and learning on the few privileged pupils who are in school is also inefficient.

The population of the KG class is about 50 but the building has not been painted for over ten years now.

Pupils say the unattractive structure of the KG class does not attract the kids to school.

The painting activities which lasted for more than six hours was undertaken by members of Cape360 of which BB is part together with members of Campus Volunteer Foundation, UCC.

The head teacher of the school Ebenezer Osrah believes the gesture will increase the enrollment

The chief of the community Nana Essuman IX also expressed gratitude to the painting crew members.

According to BB, it has been part of her Ghana’s Most Beautiful dream to make education more attractive in the central region
